Refund and Cancellation Policy

What This Covers

This policy applies to paid practice plans on this site, bought either as a one-time purchase or as a monthly subscription. Everything else on the site is free to use.

Try Before You Pay

Every learner gets a one-off free trial of the full practice workspace before paying anything. We ask you to use the trial to decide whether the paid plan suits you.

Refund Amount

Approved refunds return 90% of the amount you paid. The payment provider keeps its processing fee even when a payment is refunded, and that part cannot be returned. The deduction is shown to you before you buy, and again itemised when you request a refund, so there is no surprise.

How to Request a Refund

  • Open the billing section of your practice dashboard and submit a refund request.
  • Or email business@html5andcss3.org from the address on your account, with your order reference.
  • We review each request and reply by email with the outcome.

What Happens to Your Access

  • Full refund - paid access ends when the refund is issued.
  • Partial refund - access continues, because part of the plan has still been paid for.
  • Coupon used - a refunded purchase returns that coupon use to you.

Cancelling a Subscription

You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time from your account. Cancelling stops any future charge. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and that period is not refunded separately.

Payment Disputes

If you raise a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card provider, access stays active while the dispute is being decided. If the dispute is decided against us, access ends and any subscription behind it is cancelled. If it is decided in our favour, access continues as normal. Please contact us first - a direct refund is usually faster than a chargeback.

When We Cannot Refund

  • Where the plan was obtained through fraud or by abusing the free trial.
  • Where an account has been suspended for breaking our Terms of Service.
  • Where the payment provider will no longer accept a refund on that transaction because of its age.

Processing Time

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Once we send it, the money typically reaches you within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank or card provider.
